Big
Brothers
Big
Sisters of America is the
oldest, largest and most effective youth mentoring organization in the
United States. It
has been the
leader in one-to-one
youth service for more than a century, developing positive
relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of
young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through
18, in communities across the country including right here in Johnson
County. For over thirty years, we have been committed to serving the
youth of Johnson County.
The mission of
Big Brothers Big Sisters
of Johnson County is to help children reach their potential through
professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that
have a measurable impact on youth. Our vision is
to match a
Big to every child who needs and wants one.
Volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters is fun and rewarding. Most
volunteers start out thinking they will give something back, yet most
end up realizing that they get back so much more than they give.
Volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters just means being a friend,
and we make sure your friendship fits your lifestyle. Busy people of
all ages can get involved.
