Pressure Canner Testing

Pressure canners with a dial-type pressure gauge should be tested each year for accuracy. Jan Temple, ISU Extension Nutrition and Health Field Specialist, will be offering testing of dial gauge pressure canners. This service will be offered during the summer of 2008. There will be a testing fee of $3 per lid.

2008 Iowa 4-H Youth Conference

“Ignite the Flame” is the theme for the 2008 Iowa 4-H Youth Conference, Animal Science ROUNDUP, and CSI: Crops. It is anticipated that over 1,000 youth will attend the conference to be held June 24-26.

2008 Nonprofit Management Academy

Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA)

All 4-H & FFA exhibitors showing in Beef, Dairy Cattle, Dairy Goats, Meat Goats, Poultry, Rabbit, Sheep, and Swine must be FSQA certified in order to show at the Johnson County Fair.

Pathway to the Future
