August 18, 2014. Tour of Tiefenthaler Quality Meats in Holstein and Shrimp 59, LLC, with dinner at Yacht Club. Meet at Cherokee County Extension Office at 2:30 p.m. Contact Janelle Johnson by email at janelle@iastate.edu.

February 3, 2014. Market Outlook session at the Sioux Center Public Library, 3:30 to 7 p.m. Featured speaker was ISU economist Chad Hart. Dinner followed his presentation. See the event brochure. No charge. Contact: Janelle Johnson at janelle@iastate.edu.

January 13, 2014. Swine Building Ventilation Workshop. ISU Research Farm at Calumet, 9:30 a.m. Free to this group's members when preregistered by Jan. 10. Contact: ISU Extension and Outreach swine program specialist Dave Stender to preregister at 712-225-6196.

February 11, 2013. The group met at the Sioux Center Co-op with discussion featuring Iowa State University Extension Economist Chad Hart,food, and a tour of the feed mill.  It was highlighted on the local news and can be found here.

November 29, 2012. Kick-off meeting ¬†at the Sioux County Fairgrounds included a tour of the Natural Foods Packing Plant as well as roundtable discussion on how young farmers can work with landlords, maintain good risk management plans and more.  A tailgate style meal was enjoyed by all.
