Iowa Food System Working Group
http://www.extension.iastate.edu/topic/local-foods

The Iowa Food System Working Group is being established to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of an overall Extension program in local food systems and maximize the resources available to all Extension units. Extension units are both grounded in academic disciplines and geography. However, many topics of interest to Extension clientele such as local food system development are interdisciplinary, complex, and must involve multiple programmatic activities and delivery methods.

Clover University Registration Open – Hands On STEM Camps for Youth

Registration is now open for the 2014 Clover University Summer STEM 4-H youth camps. The camps are exciting, hands on and geared toward teaching youth about Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. Do you have youth that want to learn about how parachutes fall and how suspension can shorten drop times? How about learning how to make a pet first aid kit to take care of their animals? Topics include: Sound, Parachutes, Vet Science and Robotics. Camps are open to all Iowa County youth – you do not need to be a 4-H member to attend. There are camp opportunities for youth that have completed Kindergarten through 7th grade, so grab a friend and sign up! Space is limited, so don’t delay! Registration will close May 30th. For questions, contact Mary at the Extension Office.
