The Iowa Women in Agriculture programs’ intent is to identify the unique needs of women who are involved in agricultural production and in agribusiness and to provide the network of resources and expertise necessary to successfully meet those needs.
The Women’s Ag Networking Team (NET) is a joint effort between the Overall Women in Ag, Women Adding Value to Ag, and Iowa Women in Ag groups, and is funded by a North Central Risk Management Education Grant. The project is an internet based networking system where women can receive answers to their questions from a panel of experts via email. The experts include state and field extension specialists, women produces, agri-business professionals, and veterinarians. The web page is http://www.iowawomeninag.org/id23.html .
