NEW CLASS AT THE FAIR
We will be trying a new class at the Ida County Fair this year. It is an adult Beef Show, and will follow all the same rules that the 4-H’er has to follow. You must be a parent or guardian, grandparent or older sibling of an Ida County 4-H’er enrolled in the beef project to be eligible. These rules are listed in the Fair Book in the Beef section. You will also be required to sign the code of ethics. This means that you will have to have your market beef weighed and tagged on January 7th just like the 4-H’er. We hope that this will be a fun project for you and your youth to work on together and a way to spend some time with your 4-H’er teaching them (or in some cases, them teaching you!!) about feeding , fitting and record keeping. REMEMBER……THE ADULTS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE SAME RULES AS THE 4-H’ERS. The adults will show their beef the same day as the beef show at the fair.
