4-H Robotics Camp
Ida County 4-H will be holding two different Summer 2014 Robotics Camp programs from June 16-18 and June 30-July 2. Campers will choose between two levels of three day robotics experiences held from 9am to 3pm daily led by Master 4-H Robotics educator, Sue Jarvis.
Level 1- Robotics and Technology Camp: Youth entering 4th or 5th grades will build junk drawer robots, learn how to build and program your robot to meet beginning challenges with Junior First Lego League. Learn to use laptops, Legos, and Robtics software to create your own Lego bots!
Level 2- Robots and Beyond Camp: Youth entering 6th-8th grades will learn how to build and program NXT Robots, use sensors and build and program your robot to meet a series of tasks. Become and expert Programmer using FIRST Lego League challenges and fun learning as you create and re-design your robot as a team.
There will be opportunities for team building, friendships, technical skill building and just plain fun.
Camps are limited to 20 youth registered on a first come first serve basis.
Campers we meet:
Level 1 Robotics and Technology Camp: June 16-18th from 9am-3pm.
Level 2 Robots and Beyond Camp: June 30-July 2nd from 9am-3pm.

The cost is $60 for each camper for each camp level.
The Ida County Robotics Camp is run by trained Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Master 4-H Robotics educator and Summer 2014 STEM Program Assistant, Sue Jarvis and is funded by grants and the local Extension Council District. Youth may attend identical Level 1 or Level 2 camps being offered in Buena Vista, Calhoun, Ida, Pocahontas and Sac Counties.
