Plan now to attend the annual Iowa State University Northwest Iowa Research Farm Field Day on Wednesday, June 26 from 9:00a.m. to noon. Field days gives farmers and the public a chance to see research projects in progress and talk with the researchers involved in the experiments.

Ida County Youth 4-H Council will be hosting the Western Iowa Youth Progress Show on Sunday, May 26th. There will be Champion payouts. This Progress Show is sanctioned with the Iowa Swine Jackpot Series.

With the advent of county fair swine shows in Iowa just a few weeks from now, there are specific steps that exhibitors and fair attendees can follow to decrease health risks for animals and people at these events.

The Iowa Pork Producers Association has teamped up with the Iowa Pork Industry Center and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach swine specialists to host regional conferences February 25-28.
