The key to good fruit set is to provide conditions favorable for flower bud information, survival and pollination. Horticulturists with ISU Extension and Outreach share cultural practices that improve a tree's ability to begin and continue to bear fruit.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Sac County, area FFA Chapters and Ag Advisors, in cooperation with area businesses and farmers, will have a certification course March 27 and 28 and April 10 and 11, to certify 14 and 15 year-olds for tractor and machinery operation off the home farm.

All Junior 4-H'ers in Ida County (4th-6th graders) are invited to attend the Junior 4-H Lock-In on Friday, March 27th from 6:30pm until 8:00am on Saturday March 28th at the Ida Grove Rec Center. All Junior 4-H'ers are invited to bring one friend not in 4-H.
