Q: When will the Mid Life & Beyond Program be available in my county?
A: The program was launched late fall 2011 and interested counties can continue to register.
Q: What happens once my county is registered?
- A local Study Circles planning group will form in your county to plan local offerings.
- The Study Circle planning group will recruit facilitators for local Study Circle discussions.
- The local Study Circle discussions are carried out over a four week period of time, likely in several Study Circles with 10 – 12 participants and two trained facilitators.
An Action Forum is held to share 3 – 5 action ideas from each Study Circle and the select 2 – 5 action items. Work groups are identified and action begins!
Q: How can I participate?
A: Contact your county Extension and Outreach office to learn more about local efforts and to become engaged in the effort.
Q: How can I participate if my county is not a part of the Mid Life & Beyond program this year?
A: For various reasons some counties may decide not to participate in the program at this time. If you live in one of these counties, reach out to a neighboring county or contact Ruth Freeman to explore possible opportunities.
