Howard County Clover Kids Wrap Up Another Year of Activities

The Howard County 4-H program has wrapped up monthly meetings within the three county 4-H Clover Kids groups and has begun to plan for the Mighty Howard County Fair.  4-H Clover Kids is a fun program for children in kindergarten through third grade.  Children participate in hands-on activities and learn about a variety of topics at a level that are uniquely suited for their developmental age.

Howard County 4-H has three Clover Kids clubs that met during the 2012-2013 school year.  Each month these groups focused on a different project area and topic.  These project area and topics included environmental/earth science, health, personal development, consumer management/money, citizenship and horticulture.  The next step for enrolled Clover Kids will be participation in the Mighty Howard County Fair.  Come out to the fair and stop in the 4-H building to check out the projects for all the K-12 youth that are part of the Howard County 4-H program.

The Howard County 4-H programming is open to kindergarten through 12th grade youth without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex or disability.  The program strives to provide opportunities for youth to develop leadership, citizenship and life skills in areas interesting to them.  For more information about the Howard County 4-H program, contact the Howard County Extension & Outreach office at (563)547-3001.
