2012 4-H and FFA Rabbit Show Results

The 2012 4-H and FFA Rabbit show was held Friday, June 22 at the Mighty Howard County Fair in Cresco.  Mark Troester of Garnavillo, Iowa was the official judge for the show.

 The Meat Pen of Three Rabbits were shown by Natalie Knobloch, blue; Jonathan Gardner, blue; Erica Eastman, blue; Niklaus Knobloch, blue; Kayleigh Hauber, blue; Katie Huhe, blue; Abby Marr, blue; Abby Huhe, blue; and Austin Vsetecka, red.  The Champion Pen of Three Rabbits trophy sponsored by Dick and Lois Ollendieck was awarded to Natalie Knobloch.  The Reserve Champion pen was shown by Jonathan Gardner.

 In the Individual Market Rabbit class, participants were Natalie Knobloch, blue; Niklaus Knobloch, blue; Jonathan Gardner, blue; Erica, Eastman, blue; Abby Huhe, blue; Katie Huhe, blue; and Abby Marr, blue.  The Champion Market Rabbit trophy sponsored by Howard County Business & Tourism was awarded to Natalie Knobloch, Niklaus Knobloch received Reserve Champion Market Rabbit.

 In the Commercial Junior Breeding Buck class participant was Natalie Knobloch, two blues.  Commercial Junior Breeding Doe class participant was Katie Huhe, blue.  Commercial Senior Breeding Buck class participants included Levi Klimesh, blue; Austin Klimesh, blue; Jonathan Gardner, blue; Kaylie Klimesh, blue; Susan Irvin, blue; and Abby Huhe, blue.  In the Senior Commercial Breeding Doe class participants were Levi Klimesh, blue; Austin Klimesh, blue; Jonathan Gardner, blue; Rachel Stika, blue; Kayleigh Hauber, blue; Kaylie Klimesh, blue; Katie Huhe, blue; Hallie Frohn, red; Cassie Hosek, two reds; and Kayla Fravel, red.  Champion Commercial Rabbit trophy sponsored by Tom and Sue Barnes was awarded to Levi Klimesh.  Levi also received the Reserve Champion Commercial Rabbit.

 Junior Fancy Breeding Purebred Buck class participants were Olivia Merritt, blue; Myranda Bartels, blue; Courtney Dietzenbach, blue; and Susan Irvin, blue.  Junior Fancy Breeding Purebred Doe class participants were Kelly Dietzenbach, blue; Tiffany Weinacht, blue; Bryden Juelsgaard, blue; Courtney Dietzenbach, blue; Myranda Bartels, blue; Susan Irvin, blue; and Shane Vokaty, blue.  Senior Fancy Breeding Purebred Buck class participants included Austin Vsetecka, blue; Kelly Dietzenbach, blue; McKenzie Mork, blue; Cassie Hosek, blue; Shaunna Erickson, blue; Tiffany Weinacht, blue; Amber Hron, blue; Courtney Dietzenbach, blue; Amber Hron, red; Renae Jensen, red; Christofer Lipa, red; and Karissa Stika, red.  Senior Fancy Breeding Purebred Doe class participants included Kelly Dietzenbach, two blues; Myranda Bartels, two blues; Seth Merritt, blue; Austin Vsetecka, two blues; Abby Marr, blue; Courtney Dietzenbach, blue; Rebecca Egen, red; Joseph Gansen, red; Amber Hron, red; and Christofer Lipa, red.  The Champion Fancy Rabbit trophy sponsored by Wacha Insurance was awarded to Kelly Dietzenbach.  Reserve Champion Fancy Rabbit was awarded to Olivia Merritt.

 The Best of Show trophy sponsored by Vern and Sharron Meyer was won by Levi Klimesh.  The Best Opposite lavender ribbon went to Natalie Knobloch.

 Senior Showmanship trophy sponsored by Friedrich Plumbing and Heating went to Levi Klimesh.  Participation ribbons went to Myranda Bartels, Natalie Knobloch and Jonathan Gardner.  Junior Showmanship trophy sponsored by H & S Motors went to Olivia Merritt.  Participation ribbons were awarded to Kaylie Klimesh, Karissa Stika, and Seth Merritt.  Winners Showmanship trophy sponsored by Spahn and Rose Lumber went to Rachel Stika.  Myranda Bartels received reserve.
