2012 4-H and FFA Horse Show Results

Twenty-six Howard County 4-H and FFA members participated in the Horse shows at the 2012 Howard County Fair.  The judge for the show was Kathy Krukow from Waverly, Iowa.

Halter Class Pony/Horse Weanling Yearling participant was Natalie Knobloch, blue.  Halter Class Pony/Horse 2-3 year old participants were Kate Grover, blue; Natalie Knobloch, blue; Taylor Rice, blue; Kaytlan Langreck, blue; Judd Grover, blue; and Samantha Bigalk, blue.  Halter Class Pony/Horse 4 years and over participants were Judd Grover, blue; Brettyn Grover, blue; Trystan Grube, blue; and Olivia Merritt, red. 

Halter Class Horse 4 years and over, Mares participants were Emilyn Frohn, blue; Emily Sir, blue; Abby Kennon, blue; Cassy Kennon, blue; Thea Hartzell, blue; Jordan Grube, red; Kayleigh Hauber, red; Niklaus Knobloch, red; Mady Kuhn, red; Amber Hinck, red; McKenzie Mork, red; Shianne Throndson, red.

Halter Class Horse 4 years and over, Gelding participants were Brady Foster, blue; Kate Grover, blue; Shelbie Christensen, blue; Cassie Hosek, blue; Shianne Throndson, blue; and Sarah Fravel, blue.

Grand Champion Halter award receiving a trophy sponsored by C US Bank was Brady Foster.  Reserve Champion Halter award receiving a trophy sponsored by Chuck and Sanna Felderman was Judd Grover.

Senior Showmanship Halter participants were Emilyn Frohn, blue; Brady Foster, blue; Kate Grover, blue; Emily Sir, blue; Brettyn Grover, blue; Kaytlan Langreck, red; Shianne Throndson, red; Natalie Knobloch, red; and Shelbie Christensen, red.  Trophy sponsored by Howard County Mutual Insurance was won by Emilyn Frohn.  Intermediate Showmanship Halter participants were Abby Kennon, blue; Thea Hartzell, blue; Jordan Grube, blue; Amber Hinck, blue; and Sarah Fravel, blue.  Trophy sponsored by Lime Spring Saddle Club was awarded to Abby Kennon.  Junior Showmanship Halter participants were Judd Grover, blue; McKenzie Mork, blue; Samantha Bigalk, blue; Niklaus Knobloch, blue; Olivia Merritt, blue; Cassy Kennon, blue; and Cassie Hosek, blue.  Trophy sponsored by Howard County Business and Tourism was awarded to Judd Grover.

English Pleasure participants were Brady Foster, McKenzie Mork, and Emilyn Frohn all receiving blue.  The trophy sponsored by Friedrich Plumbing and Heating was won by Brady Foster.  English Equitation participants were Brady Foster, purple; McKenzie Mork, blue; and Emilyn Frohn, blue.  The trophy sponsored by Featherlite was awarded to Brady Foster. 

Western Pleasure Walk Trot 1st year rider participants were Samantha Bigalk and Niklaus Knobloch, both receiving blue ribbons.  Trophy sponsored Nosbisch Construction was awarded to Samantha Bigalk.  Western Pleasure Walk Trot Intermediate and Senior participants were Cassy Kennon, blue; Thea Hartzell, blue; Shianne Throndson, blue; Taylor Rice, red; Sarah Fravel, red; and Cassie Hosek, red.  The trophy sponsored by Don and Normie Ferrie was awarded to Cassy Kennon.  Senior Western Pleasure participants were Brady Foster, purple; Emilyn Frohn, blue; Kate Grover, blue; Brettyn Grover, blue; Natalie Knobloch, blue; Emily Sir, blue; Shelbie Christensen, blue; and Tessa Anderson, blue.  The trophy sponsored by Cresco Motor Company was awarded to Brady Foster.  Intermediate Wester Pleasure participants were Abby Kennon, Amber Hinck and Jordan Grube all receiving blues.  Trophy sponsored by Cresco Motor Company was won by Abby Kennon.  Junior Western Pleasure participants were Olivia Merritt, blue; McKenzie Mork, blue; Trystan Grube, red; and Judd Grover, red.  Trophy sponsored by Fravel Farms in Memory of Ellis Fravel was won by Olivia Merritt.

Equitation/Bare Back Intermediate Senior division participants were Brady Foster, purple; Kate Grover, blue; Emily Sir, blue; Shianne Throndson, blue; and Shelbie Christensen, blue.  Equitation/Bar Back Junior participants were McKenzie Mork, Judd Grover and Olivia Merritt all received blue ribbons.

Trail Senior Class participants were Brettyn Grover, blue; Kate Grover, blue; Emily Sir, blue; Brady Foster, blue; Tessa Anderson, blue; Emilyn Frohn, blue; Natalie Knobloch, blue; Shianne Throndson, red; and Taylor Rice, red.  Trophy sponsored by Grover Farms was won by Brettyn Grover.  Trail Intermediate Class participants were Amber Hinck, blue; Abby Kennon, red; and Thea Hartzell, red.  Trophy sponsored by Grover Farms was won by Amber Hinck.  Trail Junior Class participants were McKenzie Mork, blue; Judd Grover, blue; Olivia Merritt, blue; Trystan Grube, blue; Samantha Bigalk, blue; Niklaus Knobloch, red.  Trophy sponsored by Grover Farms was awarded to McKenzie Mork.
