Rental rates for Iowa farmland decreased by 5 percent in 2015, according to results from the Cash Rental Rates for Iowa – 2015 Survey conducted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. Average rents were lower in all nine crop reporting districts, according to Alejandro Plastina, assistant professor and extension economist with Iowa State University.

Entrepreneurs in northeast Iowa now have another financing option to launch their ideas. The Northeast Iowa Food & Farm Coalition, or NIFF Coalition, was recently approved as an affiliate of Iowa Microloan.
