Farmers and landowners will learn about the new programs authorized by the Farm Bill at an informational meeting conducted by Iowa State University Extension and Outreach and local USDA Farm Service Agency staff members on January 6 in Mt. Pleasant. Registration is required. RSVP to Henry County Extension, 319-385-8126, by January 2, 2015.

The Henry County Teen Council, along with the Henry County Extension Staff held a Tailgate Awards Night on Friday, September 26th, at the Wright Family Pavilion on the Fairgrounds.  The event was held to recognize 4-H’ers and 4-H leaders for their hard work throughout the year, as well as their years of service.
