Carb-o-Meter

Carb-O-Meter

Are you getting your daily carbohydrate requirement?

This interactive tool is designed to help you examine your carbohydrate (aka carbs) intake. Most people consume 200 to 500 grams daily--130 grams daily is a minimum requirement.

To use the online Carb-o-Meter, click on a food group, then look at the food items that appear on the screen and pick the ones that represent your typical day's intake. The number of servings of each food  item can be increased or decreased  and previously entered items can be edited.  When you're finished, you'll get the total number of carbohydrates consumed for the day.

This tool is ideal for use in classrooms, with sports teams or other groups, and by individuals.

The Carb-o-Meter is also available for order a CD. No installation is required and it is compatible with Macintosh and PC platforms.

Why should you eat carbohydrate? Energy, brain power, muscle power, and weight control are just a few reasons.
