Schedule of Upcoming ServSafe Classes & Locations in Southwest Iowa
ServSafe, the national certification program for food service employees, will be offered at various locations and dates in 2012. The Southwest Iowa listing is posted below. Please contact the Extension office in the county where the class will be held to learn times, locations and to pre-register. Class participants must attend both sessions. The cost of the course is $135 which includes 9 hours class time, a manual, and the national certification exam.
Anyone needing to retest or recertify may take the test only option for $50 during a regularly scheduled class. You must pre-register for this option also.
Anyone interested in preparing and serving safe food is welcome to attend. The course is required by some companies and state licensing which may be restaurants, hospitals, schools, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities but it is a voluntary certification.
