4H Intermediates LOCK OUT: Ticket To Survive
Time to make plans to attend the 4-H Intermediate Lock-Out from 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 20 through 8:00 a.m. Saturday, June 21 in Glenwood, IA. So what is an Intermediate Lock-Out? It is an adventure outside with activities planned for you as an intermediate 4-H Age member to participate in that will challenge you working in groups of intermediates.
During your fun challenges you will discover tickets and treasure that will reward you with snacks, opportunities for fun and activities that will keep you up all night until 5:30 a.m. when those that are still up and active can keep going and those that need a rest can chill until 8:00 a.m. when you will be picked up to go home and sleep.
Find out what cool things can happen at night when working together and enjoy a brief time inside at the Glenwood YMCA roller skating, playing basketball or volleyball or just some fun group games.
The most important part of the event will be meeting other intermediate 4-H’ers from across Region 17 and working with your Region 17 4-H Youth Leadership team that has planned the fun outdoor activities.
If your challenges all go well, your team will enjoy smores, hotdogs and campfire songs around the campfire at a local recreational lake. We invite you to take the challenge to come and meet new people, try some new fun challenges, STAY UP ALL NIGHT and learn new skills to survive at night in the outdoors.
Registration is $25 for the All night Adventure.
Return your Registration Form with payment To your County Extension OFFICE by Friday, June 13. Please register ASAP to make sure you can attend this fun intermediate Age 4-H Event.
