The answer to this question is yes, but some important stipulations apply.

1)  Harrison County has purchased the basic firearms to be used in all four disciplines initially (archery, rifle, shotgun and muzzle loader). 

2)  You can bring your own firearm under the following conditions:

• Your SESS Certified instructor has worked with you and determined that you are capable of bringing your own firearm.  A special designation on your SESS ID is used as notification.
• The firearm (when brought to a SESS event) must be unloaded, cased and locked with a trigger or chamber lock.  (Locks are available from the Sheriff's Office as well as most city Police Offices--free of charge.)
• Firearms must be inspected by certified instructors at check-in time before  SESS event starts.
• No SESS members are allowed to bring ammunition at any time.  Ammunition will be provided by the SESS club as part of the event fees.
