1 in 20 young people today are dealing with Teen Depression. Depression can destroy the very essensce of a teenager's personality, causing an overwhelming sense of sadness, despair and anger. Although depression is very treatable, experts say that very few depressed teens receive help. Many young people are surrounded by people who care about them, their circle of support,  and you may be a part of several "Circles of Support" for youth. It is important for you to learn what the symptoms of teen depression are, what help if avilable and connect with the teens in your life to see how they are doing. If you notice some of the symptoms and they continue for several weeks and into a month, they obviously are not able to bounce back and may need some help. Learning how to be a caring adult that listens and shares your concerns with the youth is very important to their recovery.
