Hancock County Robotics Camp - June 4-7, 2013

Robotics Camp 2012

Hancock County Robotics Camp

Have you ever wanted to learn more about math, science, engineering, and  technology, butit sounded boring or complicated? Robotics camp uses LEGOS and robots to make it hands on, fun, and exciting. You get to build an NXT robot, program it, and watch it do missions using sensors and motors you built into the robot. Learning while you are doing is a great way to get involved in science and math. Plus you will be learning team building skills, how to overcome challenges, and how to be a Gracious Professional.

Hancock County Extension is offering a four day, afternoon only robotics camp that is being taught by Ben Johnston, fourth grade teacher at Garner-Hayfield Elementary School.  Mr. Johnston has had training with the MINDSTORM NXT robot and will teach you how to build a robot using sensors, how to program the robot, and will give you missions to accomplish. There will be a competition on the last day of camp to judge in the areas of robotic design, missions, and team building skills.
