Iowa State University Extension and Outreach: Hancock County

We are ISU.  Extension and Outreach has faculty, researchers, and partners in all the colleges across Iowa State University.

We bring campus to you.  With nearly 1,000 faculty and staff on campus and across the state and 100 county extension offices, Extension and Outreach gives Hancock County an Iowa State University campus.

We Engage.  ISU Extension and Outreach engages Iowans with the research, educational, and technological resources of Iowa State University. We provide research-based educational programs to strengthen Hancock County’s economy and citizen’s quality of life.

We Partner.  Hancock county has an elected extension council that guides local educational programming by partnering with staff and other area entities. From needs assessment through program implementation and evaluation of outcomes, the council represents the issues and people of Hancock county.

All 9-12 graders and 7-8 graders.  Get the applications to be on County Council or Intermediate County Council.   Applications are due to the Extension Office by October 3th, 2014. 
County Council members get the opportunity to plan county wide events, have input on rule changes, fine tune their leadership skills, and give back to Hancock 4-H. 

ASK Field Trip Activity
August 26, 2014

Students can experience an afterschool 4-H club where they learn more about a project area they chose.  Club members enjoy hands-on activities, snacks, games, field trips and more while developing leadership and teamwork skills.
