During the week of fair our fairgrounds will again be beautified with our "Fairgrounds Decorating Contest". Start those minds thinking of ways you can decorate to make our fairgrounds look nice during fair.
If you would like to participate in the Fairgrounds Decorating you must complete and turn in the form to the Extension Office by July 1st.
- Open to all 4-H/FFA members in Grundy County. You do not need to be enrolled in any specific project area to enter.
- Entries may be individuals, groups or clubs.
- Purpose of contest is to design and decorate a designated area of the fairgrounds.
- Areas to be decorated will be around trees and buildings on the fairgrounds. Areas will be numbered and those entering will be assigned a location.
- Decorating may include live or artificial plants or flowers, wooden cut out shapes, flower containers such as flower pots, wooden boxes, wheel barrows, etc. Be Creative!
- Decorating may be done anytime after fair clean up on Saturday, July 19th and must be in place by 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, July 21st.
- Entries will be judged on the afternoon of Monday, July 21st
- All entries will receive either a Blue, Red or White Ribbon. Ribbions and the Viewer Choice Award will be given during tje Fashion Review Style Show on Friday, July 25th.
- Entries must be removed between 8:00-10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 26th.
