Powerful Tools for Caregivers Series Starts October 18th

The six week series of Powerful Tools for Caregivers offers caregivers strategies for reducing stress, improving self-confidence, better communicating feelings, balancing your life, increasing your ability to make tough decisions, and locating helpful resources.  The program has been tested and evaluated through a grant from the U.S. Administration on Aging.

Total cost for the series is $30 per participant, which includes the six sessions and a 200-page workbook printed by Legacy Caregiver Services, which goes more in-depth on topics covered throughout the class.  The registration fee is greatly reduced thanks to several local sponsors and supporters, including Greene County Extension, Elderbridge Agency on Aging, Mikki Schwarzkopf, Joanna Hunter, and Shirley Stapleton.

Registration for the course is due October 16.  Scholarships are available, as well.  To find out more about Greene County Extension, including other families programming, visit www.extension.iastate.edu/greene or give Greene County Extension a call at (515) 386-2138 or e-mail Cleanne Lindholm at cleanne@iastate.edu or Michael Cooley at mcooley@iastate.edu
