Greene County Master Gardener's Sponsor Drought Tolerate Gardening Speaker on Oct. 9th

The public is invited to attend “Drought Tolerate Gardening in Iowa,” on Tuesday, October 9, 2012, at 7:00 p.m., at the Greene County Extension meeting room.  Aaron Steil, Education and Visitor Services Coordinator for Reiman Gardens, will give the presentation, uniquely designed for gardeners in Iowa to learn strategies for planning around the impacts of the 2012 drought.  There is no cost to attend and no reservations are required.

The program is sponsored by the Greene County Master Gardeners through proceeds from the group’s annual plant sale.  The group is planning other guest speakers for future months, who will discuss a variety of topics related to gardening, lawn, and trees.  Additionally, a training session is being planned for early 2013 for individuals interested in becoming Master Gardeners.  More information will be shared as plans are finalized.
