For a short time, to assist the local Greene County Community Foundation, Iowa State University Extension, Greene County is allowing this site to be used for posting local information. 

2009 GRANTS OFFERED:
The Greene County Community Foundation recently received a state award which will be used to advance philanthropy and fund charitable projects benefiting the citizens of Greene County.  Any organized 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit entity or unit of local government for the benefit of Greene County is invited to pursue this grant.  Note a special opportunity for a larger grant exists for 2009, as explained in the application package,, and the maximum for regular grants has been increased too. The 2009 Grant Guidelines and Application are available to download in two different formats or are available in hard copy at any Greene County public library or the Greene County Extension Office.  Click on the links below to download the format that best suits your needs.  The deadline for submitting the completed application is Friday, February 13, 2009 at 4:30 pm.
