Each year, 4-H members show their growth in goals set for specific project areas through exhibiting at the Greene County Fair and Iowa State Fair.  Exhibitors in non-animal project areas are chosen at the county level to advance to the Iowa State Fair.  All 4-H animal shows at the Iowa State Fair are open to all 4-H members wishing to exhibit. Extension council members are elected officials and are responsible for being good stewards of taxpayer dollars. They manage the county extension budget, hire county staff and help select educational programming from ISU Extension and Outreach.
