Babysitting Basics now taking Enrollments!

The very popular Babysitting Basics course will be starting soon! This five-week course is open to all youth in grades 5 and will run for the month of March 2010. Learn about the responsibilities of a babysitter, what employers expect, how to handle emergencies, how to break into the job market, basic first aid and safety pointers, and characteristics of young children. Mary Holz-Clause of Greene County has been named the associate vice president for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach!! The appointment is effective immediately.

4-H youth, families, friends and staff from across the state are invited to attend ISU's women's basketball game and see the Cyclones take on Kansas State on February 27. Food Safety Quality Assurance (FSQA) certification is required for all Greene county 4-H members wishing to exhibit beef (including bucket calves), sheep, swine, poultry, or rabbits at the 2010 Greene County Fair or Iowa State Fair.
