The objective of this project is to visualize the downtown area in 3D and be able to make design improvements in the future. The target is to provide an easy understanding of what a city downtown looks like, and be able to pinpoint areas that need improvements. A 3D model for 8 blocks of the downtown area (from Oatley Ave. to Pattee St. & 1st St. to 3rd St.) was created using several design (Photoshop, SketchUp) software and other GIS software (ArcGIS 9.2, ModelBuilder, CommunityViz.  A CD/DVD of a shareable file and movie were delivered to the community for viewing the downtown in 3D and make better decisions.
