Air and Ground Transportation

The Des Moines International Airport (airport code DSM) ) is located approximately 45 miles south of Ames, Iowa, and Iowa State University.  and the DECC conference facility. The airport is served by multiple airlines listed here.  Ground transportation between the airport and ISU is best provided by renting an automobile.

International Travel Guidelines

All international conference attendees are strongly encouraged to check current requirements for crossing US borders.  International visitors regardless of country of origin must present a passport or secure document when entering the US by air. Note that beginning January 31, 2008, the US has ended the practice of accepting oral declarations of citizenship at the border from travelers entering the US by land or sea.
