Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie visit 4-H'ers in Region 17
Here is the story of Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie: Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie are children of Flat Stanley and Normal Nancy (check out a Flat Stanley story of visiting Jackie Chan at: http://www.flatstanleyproject.com/jackiechan.php ). They are very curious young people and have heard all about the wonderful experiences that 4-H’ers are having in SW Iowa and they want to go visit 4-H Clubs and see what this 4-H is all about. That’s where you come in. Color your Flat Stanley and Squished Suzie, cut them out or mount them to piece of cardboard to make them more durable and take them with you to 4-H activities and take them picture with you. Then post them on the Region 17 4-H Member Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/groups/247235162023233/ ) and share a short post on what you are doing. Or if you need help just send your photo(s) and description to seilstad@iastate.edu and I will post them.
In late April, your county extension office will send a Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie to each 4-H Club in the county with instructions on how they can show Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie all of the wonderful things happening in their 4-H activities and club meetings, workshops and community service and post pictures of them doing stuff with their club to the Region 17 4-H Member Facebook page. The most original photo of Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie shared by a 4-H Member or Club will be chosen for an award each month for May, June and July and hopefully clubs will bring their Flat Bobby and Squished Suzie to County Fair with them.
