When Rain Falls (Daily Erosion Project)
Rick Cruse, Iowa State University agronomy professor and director of the Iowa Water Center, studies the erosion of Iowa soil and says acceleration in soil erosion is likely unless Iowans do something quite dramatic to stop it. To increase awareness of the state’s excess soil erosion, Cruse and John Laflen, retired agricultural engineer for USDA Agricultural Research Service, established the Iowa Daily Erosion Project.
