The Secret Life of Water (Groundwater Flow Model)

Water moving over and through Iowa soil carries nutrients and sediments in its flow. Land use and management practices, geography and rainfall events – the amount of rain and the time of year – contribute to the water–soil relationship. Tom Isenhart, ISU Natural Resource Ecology and Management associate professor, knows that water can be a raging beast or a gentle giant. He recommends these resources to better understand the water-soil relationship.
