Corn Stover Removal

Iowa State University research looks at the effect residue has on corn yield and soil quality, and how harvesting residue impacts the land. Corn crop residue is a readily available feedstock for making cellulosic ethanol and for animal use – the question becomes how much residue can be safely removed from the field.
