Broccoli Mushroom Salad

Ingredients: 
  • 1/2 head broccoli
  • 1/2 pound mushrooms
  • 1 small onion
  • 2 Tablespoons sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed (optional)
     
Instructions: 
  1. Wash and cut vegetables. Cut broccoli flowers into small pieces. Slice broccoli stems crosswise. Slice mushrooms.
  2. Mix together the sugar, oil, vinegar, and seasonings.
  3. Pour dressing over vegetables and stir so vegetables are well-coated.
  4. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
