Ingredients: 
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounces) can kidney beans
  • 1 (16 ounces) can tomato sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoons chili powder
Instructions: 
  1. Cook ground beef and onion together in a saucepan. Transfer mixture to colander set over a bowl and rinse with warm water to remove grease.* Return to saucepan. 
  2. Add the kidney beans, tomato sauce, and chili powder to the saucepan.
  3. Cook over medium heat until heated through.
Tips: 
  • *Do not pour grease down the drain. Let grease harden, then put it in the trash.
  • Have pre-cooked, rinsed, and drained ground beef on hand in the freezer for quick meal preparation.
  • Make a double batch and freeze the extra in single serving size containers for an extra quick meal.
