Plan to attend the Summer Horticulture Showcase that will be taking place on Saturday, September 19 at the Borlaug Learning Center (ISU Research Farm) west of Nashua.  This will be one of the largest gardening events that takes place in north Iowa this year and is open to anyone.

Iowans can learn how to "Preserve the Taste of Summer" during 4 session lessons and a hands-on workshop from ISU Extension and Outreach in Floyd County.  The online lessons are scheduled for Sept 14, 21, 28 and Oct 5 starting at 5:30 pm.  To register call 641-228-1453. 

Master Gardener

Iowa Master Gardener Classes are scheduled to begin at the Cerro Gordo County Extension and Outreach office on September 29, 2015! Anyone interested in gardening is encouraged to call Cerro Gordo County Extension and Outreach at 641-423-0844! Master Gardeners are individuals who have an interest in horticulture, have taken the Master Gardener training offered by Extension, and use that training to volunteer for 40 hours in their communities.

  • Information on Pesticide Applicator Training, Integrated Pest Management, and related environmental programs.
