4-H Program Assistant Wanted:  Floyd County Extension 4-H Program is seeking a full time person who will provide educational programs for school-aged youth.  High School diploma, good communication skills and youth work required.  Send application and resume to lmehmen@iastate.edu before July 8.  AA/EEO

Floyd County classes will start on Wednesdays in August and September for the seventh annual ‘Growing Season’ webinar series.  Gardeners will learn about benefits of shade in landscape, tree problems and native garden insects.

Educational program for farmers and retailers with a focus on understanding weed resistance and a hands on, practical approach to developing long-term weed management plans that work.  July 20th from 10am - 3 pm at the Northeast Research Farm.

The Annual Spring Field Day at the ISU NE Reasearch & Demonstraiton Farm is on June 28th from 1:00 to 4:15 pm.  The field day is free and open to the public.
