Channel Catfish is correct!
The Channel Catfish is the most abundant sports fish in the state of Iowa. It is silvery-gray above fading to lighter shades on the belly; the body is marked with dark spots (may be obscure in adults); the tail fin is deeply forked; and it may reach lengths of about 20 inches by 10 years of age. It is found statewide in rivers, lakes and ponds.
