Brook Trout is correct!
Brook trout, as far as can be determined from past records, have always inhabited some of the coldwater streams in the northeastern section of Iowa, especially those that have high water quality and remain cold throughout the entire year. The Iowa Department of Natural Resources stock the brook, rainbow, and brown trout in many coldwater streams in northeastern Iowa. The brook trout's natural reproduction is now limited to two smaller streams in Jackson and Clayton counties.
