West Central After-School Foods Club

Mmm…March was the theme at the West Central Afterschool program for 4-6 grade youth.
In attendance was local baker Vickie Buckman,West Central Food service personnel Wilma Miller, Americorp/Food Corp personnel Leah Chapman and Fayette County Youth Coordinator Michele Kelly.
The youth learned the importance of eating whole grains and had the opportunity to make Whole Wheat Carrot and Raisin Muffins. Participants were able to measure ingredients, clean and grate carrots and fill the muffin pans before placing them in the oven to bake.
