On June 4, nineteen Fayette County 4-H & FFA members each picked up 25 chicks and will be raising them for the next eight weeks for the Livestock Broiler Class to be held during the Fayette County Fair.
Youth participants each have a sponsor in which they are asked to be in contact with throughout the contest time. The sponsor will receive five of the best dressed birds within two weeks of the Fayette County Fair. Birds were purchased from SunRay Hatchery in Hazleton and the first bag of feed was donated by Unionland Feeds of West Union.
