Although it is difficult to make predictions on the severity of ticks in a given season, the University of Minnesota predicts that because of our mild winter, we may experience a year of above average tick numbers.

A number of volunteers worked together either making quilt blocks, donating fabric and/or services to complete the two quilts pictured behind this group. Monday night, March 6 in Fayette, the group gathered for the unveiling of the fundraising project to benefit renovation of the 4-H and open class exhibit building. Raffle tickets are being sold on the quilt at left, while the quilt at right, was won by Rachael Bushman, area 4-H’er from Castalia.
