Smart Investing onlineInterested in learning to make wise investing decisions? Consider signing up for one of three investment education courses focused on your stage in life:

  • “Starting Out” course is for beginning investors
  • “Building Up” targets those in mid-life
  • “Making It Last” focuses on those near or in retirement

Each course involves four online modules and is tailored to the investment challenges of each age group. Topics include:

  • balancing risk
  • cutting investment costs
  • choosing an investment adviser, and
  • fine-tuning an investment portfolio at each life stage.

The FREE six-week courses are taught by Dr. Patricia Swanson, CFP®. Craig Goettsch, Director of Investor Education and Securities Counsel, Iowa Securities Bureau, will contribute to online discussions. This program is made possible by a grant from the FINRA Investor Education Foundation through Smart investing@your library®, a partnership with the American Library Association.
