4-H Website Gets New Look
AMES, Iowa – This summer, the Iowa 4-H program went through some exciting changes. An Iowa 4-H Pinterest page was created, E-SET merged into STEM and most recently, the Iowa 4-H website was revamped.
“Our goal was to unify Iowa 4-H with ISU Extension and Outreach and the university,” said Shelly Greving, marketing director for Iowa State University Extension and Outreach 4-H Youth Development. “The new look to the website provides brand consistency between these three connected entities.”
The homepage provides several tabs that lead to areas around the website. One new tab features trainings for educators, which was difficult to find on the older version of the website. According to Greving, there is a lot of content on the website that is easy to navigate and reach.
“We want the public to realize 4-H is part of Extension and Outreach and Iowa State University,” said Greving. “With the new look of the website, it’s much easier to find content. It’s also easier to see the 4-H lineage and decades-old partnership with the university and Extension and Outreach.”
4-H Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), formerly known as E-SET, used to have a separate website. Now, those interested in learning more about the program need only search it on the Iowa 4-H homepage. It is a main focus area of Iowa 4-H, and there is new and expanded information on the STEM page.
“We’re really excited about the new look, and the new theme, which mirrors Iowa State University’s theme: Choose Your Adventure,” Greving said. “We hope Iowa 4-H’ers and those interested in the program can easily learn more about the 4-H adventure through the website.”
