Science of Parenting: Family Fun Time

AMES, Iowa – When people describe their happy childhood memories, they usually talk about time spent with family. In July the Science of Parenting blog from Iowa State University Extension and Outreach explores the importance of family fun.

The University of Nebraska has 30 years of research on what makes families strong, and family fun time is high on the list, note bloggers Donna Donald and Lori Hayungs, ISU Extension and Outreach family life specialists. The challenge, they say, is for families to find creative ways to have fun now. Learn more from their tips on the blog throughout the month of July and in a four-minute podcast.

Through the Science of Parenting blog, blogs.extension.iastate.edu/scienceofparenting, ISU Extension and Outreach specialists share and discuss research-based information and resources to help parents rear their children. Parents can join in the conversation and share thoughts and experiences, as well as how they handle parenting responsibilities.
