It’s important that people who do not directly benefit from ISU Extension programs and educational resources understand how they indirectly benefit from our work. As extension staff it is increasingly important for us to be able to identify and share the ‘public value’ of ISU Extension with stakeholders, partners and community members. By understanding and substantiating the public benefits our programs provide, we can be confident that ISU Extension, as a publicly funded organization, is doing what it is truly meant to do.
The ISU Extension Communications and External Relations unit has created a staff training opportunity that can be completed as a group or individually.
- Time needed:
- The training can be viewed in 16 minutes, however participants should allow ample time to complete the activities incorporated in the training – an additional 30 – 45 minutes when working alone, more if working as a group and reporting back assignments.
