You have the opportunity to order personalized Post-it notes for your county or area ISU Extension office. Post-it notes will be personalized with office name and phone number. You can see a sample and find the order form on the ISU Extension Marketing Web Site -- click on "post-it notes."
All orders must be placed by Friday, Sept. 13 to be eligible for the group printing rate. Orders will be available for pickup at Annual Conference. If you have questions, contact Laura Sternweis, lsternwe@iastate.edu.
Online learning demonstration continues
Iowa State University has developed a free, online course to demonstrate typical components of classes delivered over the World Wide Web. The demonstration features fun facts and significant historical information about the university. It is designed to help learners try the tools of online learning in a fun format so they have confidence they can take online courses.
CECS is tracking "hits" to the demo. Between the course launch date of July 1 and Aug. 23, 87 people registered for the demo -- 58 from Iowa, 22 from other states, and 7 from outside the United States. The majority of registrants heard about the demo through the ISU Web site, an advertisement in VISIONS magazine, and the Lifelearner television ad campaign that ran this summer.
