4-Hers help during WWII to spread the word that increased food production will help win the war, save starving people, and help win the peace. 4-H Victory Gardens sprang up across the state. |

A campaign begins in 1946 to build an Iowa 4-H Camp. 4-H girls voted in favor of it at their 1945 State Convention. Both boys and girls attending the 1946 4-H Conservation Camp approved the idea. | |
