4-H celebrates: 1930s

In the 1930s, the USDA Division of Textiles and Clothing develops and offers a dress and jacket pattern as the national 4-H girls uniform. Fabric choices include a green washable cotton broadcloth.

4-H girls do health projects. The 1930 state health champion, Marion Syndergaard of Grundy County, becomes the national health champion.
